Two Opportunities for Public Comment

July 14, 2022

The STA has released the DRAFT Solano Countywide Electrification Transition Plan for a 60-day public comment period.

The Plan is meant to be used as a guiding document to define the need, propose a transition timeframe, and provide a year-by-year summary of proposed changes.  This can be used by transit operators, and STA alike, to define upcoming needs and apply for the funding necessary to accommodate Zero Emission Bus (ZEB) fleets.

The STA has also released the Solano Local Road Safety Plan for a 30-day public comment period.

A Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) provides a framework for organizing stakeholders to identify, analyze, and prioritize roadway safety improvements on local roads. Beginning with Local Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 11 in 2022, a LRSP or its equivalent such as Systemic Safety Analysis Report (SSAR) or Vision Zero Action Plan, will be required for an agency to be eligible to apply for federal HSIP funds.
