Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

Staff representatives from each member jurisdiction serve on the STA Technical Advisory Committee consisting of City Public Works Directors and the Transportation Engineering Manager from the County of Solano. The TAC meets on the last Wednesday of every month.

Solano Express Intercity Transit Consortium

The Solano Express Intercity Transit Consortium coordinates intercity transit issues between the various transit operators within Solano County. The Solano Express Intercity Transit Consortium meets every last Tuesday of every month.

Regional Transportation Impact Fee (RTIF) Working Group

The RTIF Working Group is composed of public works directors and planning directors, who advise STA staff on the technical accuracy of draft materials and discuss the feasibility of proposed policies.

Ad Hoc Policy Committees

Policy Committees

Policy Committees act in an advisory capacity to the STA Board of Directors and STA Staff. Elected officials and some staff representatives from each member jurisdiction make recommendations on the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and any studies the STA conducts.

Active Transportation Committee

This policy committee makes recommendations to the STA Board for changes and updates to the Alternative Modes Element of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan. It also recommends funding for Transportation Development Article-3 grants (TDA-3) as well as other alternative modes funds.

State Route (SR) 12 Steering Committee

This policy committee makes recommendations to the STA Board with regard to strategies and actions to improve safety on SR 12, including studies, improvements, programs and enforcement activities to be conducted and to provide additional SR 12 and funding recommendations to the STA Board.

State Route (SR) 37 Policy Committee

A multi-county committee with policymakers participating from Marin, Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. The SR 37 Policy Committee was formed in 2015 as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to discuss joint county efforts in improving the SR 37 Corridor from I-80 to Hwy 101.
