Please join us at the upcoming Transportation Forum for Neighborhoods and Communities of Vallejo scheduled on Tuesday, July 30. This forum will be held at the Norman King Community Center from 4pm -7pm; registration begins at 3:30 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

Please RSVP by July 23rd by calling the STA’s Solano Mobility Call Center at (800) 535-6883 or clicking here

The Transportation Forum is hosted by the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) in partnership with Solano County Transit (SolTrans) and the City of Vallejo. Vallejo residents are invited to provide their input. With your assistance, the STA, SolTrans, and the City of Vallejo will identify transportation challenges for travel within Vallejo and beyond. At the Transportation Forum, the STA and others will share progress on recent transportation projects and developing programs.

The Forum will be followed by community outreach and a second Forum in the fall of 2019. At the second Forum projects to address transportation challenges will be presented for the public to vote on to prioritize funding. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) has designated funding for transportation projects in Vallejo identified through this process. In addition, a Vallejo Community Based Transportation Plan (CBTP) will be prepared to address further improvements.
We encourage you to join us as we work to improve mobility for Vallejo residents

We look forward to your participation. To RSVP or if you have any questions or comments, please contact the Solano Mobility Call Center at (800) 535-6883, see enclosed flyer or contact Debbie McQuilkin at dmcquilkin@sta.ca.gov.

Solano Community College (SCC) Students Pass Student Fee Extension for Transit

SCC students passed a ten-year extension of a student fee for transit in Solano County. 85% of students voted to approve the extension. This fee is part of their semester student fee and enables SCC students to ride SolanoExpress or local transit services provided by Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST), Solano County Transit (SolTrans) or Vacaville City Coach for free by showing their SCC student ID. Thank you Solano Community College students and staff for making this happen!

Bike to School Day is May 8th!

Solano Bike Month

Solano County students are encouraged to strap on their safety helmets and pedal their way to school on National Bike to School Day, Wednesday, May 8, 2019. This annual event, organized locally by Solano Safe Routes to School (SR2S), a program of the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) and Solano Public Health, focuses attention on the physical and environmental benefits of biking to school instead of commuting by car.
