PROJECTS SR 12/SR 113 Intersection Improvement Project

This $7.1M State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) project enhanced safety at this busy intersection by installing a roundabout to reduce both the number and severity of collisions. The intersection of these highways is located in unincorporated Solano County, approximately 6 miles west of the City of Rio Vista, and has seen a large number of collisions in recent years. Drivers can anticipate a 30% reduction in total crashes and an 81% reduction in severe injuries at this intersection due to these improvements.  See the Updates tab for related Project Documents. This Project is part of the Rio Vista Downtown Complete Streets Project, which will transform SR 12 in downtown Rio Vista into a multimodal corridor.

Construction is now complete and the roundabout is fully operational.
