Lane, Ramp Closures on State Route 113 in and near Dixon from Parkway Boulevard to SR-113/Interstate-80 (I-80) Interchange in Solano County

Schedule: Lanes scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night

SOLANO COUNTY  –  Caltrans is scheduled to begin a paving and Slurry Seal overlay project on State Route 113 (SR-113), also known as 1st Street, which goes through the City of Dixon.

Portions of SR-113 will be closed in both directions starting on Sunday, Sept. 7 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning and will continue through the duration of the project, scheduled to finish in within 30 working days.

During the project, workers will perform dig-outs and Slurry Seal overlay. Dig-outs is a method of roadway repair where workers “dig out” layers of failed pavement. The excavated areas will be paved with Hot Mix Asphalt.

The project’s goal is to extend the life of the pavement until a more thorough paving project begins in the next few years.

The number of lanes closed will depend on the closure location within the project limits.

From Parkway Blvd./E Park Blvd. to Country Fair Dr./Silveyville Cemetery Road and from West H St./East H St. to the SR-113/80 Separation, at least one lane in each direction will remain open during construction.

Between Country Fair Dr./Silveyville Cemetery Rd. and West H St./East H St., traffic will be subject to one-way reversible control, managed with flaggers.

The following on- and off-ramps will be affected by the closure and will have intermittent detours as follows:

Detour for Northbound Route Connector to Westbound I-80
Drivers on Eastbound I-80 will take the SR-113 off-ramp to Pedrick Road; Then on Pedrick Road take a left to enter the Westbound I-80 on-ramp. Drivers will continue down Westbound I-80 and take the connector to Currey Road.

Drivers on Northbound Route 113 wanting to go to Northbound Currey Road. Will take the Eastbound I-80 on ramp and take the Pedrick Road off-ramp. A left turn will be
taken on Pedrick Road to enter the Westbound I-80 on-ramp. Drivers will continue down Westbound I-80 and take the connector to Currey Road.

Detour for Southbound Route 113 on-ramp closure on Westbound I-80
Drivers will continue to travel on Westbound I-80 and take the Pitt School Road Exit and make a left onto Pitt School Road. Then enter Eastbound I-80 on-ramp and then take the Southbound Route 113 off-ramp.

Detour for Southbound Route 113 on-ramp closure on Currey Road
Driver will need to take the Westbound I-80 on-ramp and exit on Pitt school road then take a left on Pitt School Road and enter the Eastbound I-80 on ramp and then take the Southbound Route 113 exit.
