COVID-19 Updates

Due to Stay-at-Home orders issued by California’s Governor and Solano County Public Health, SolanoExpress is running a modified and reduced schedule. Please click the links below for the latest information for each route.

Effective September 9, 2020:

As part of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s (MTC’s) Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force recent efforts, MTC recently released “The Riding Together, Health and Safety Plan,” a health and safety plan collectively developed by the region’s public transit operators. This Plan provides the drivers and riders with a consistent health and safety plan for the region’s 25 plus transit operators, including the five transit operators that provide service in Solano County, to strengthen trust in riding public transportation (Solano County Transit/SolTrans, Fairfield and Suisun Transit/FAST, Vacaville City Coach, Dixon Readi-Ride, Rio Vista Delta Breeze). The Bay Area transit agencies have created a dashboard which reports progress on our common commitments to keep our employees and customers safe. The dashboard reports on four key metrics in our collective partnership with customers and the shared responsibilities we all have for reducing the spread of COVID-19. View the dashboard here.

Listed below are eight safety measures that have been layered together to reduce the likelihood that an individual would contract COVID-19 while riding on SolanoExpress:

Effective July 6, 2020 (Partial Service Restoration):

Blue Line Route B

• • Sacramento to Pleasant Hill BART stops in Fairfield, Vacaville, Dixon and UC Davis
    

Green Express Line Route GX

• • Suisun City to El Cerrito Del Norte BART stops in Fairfield and Vallejo

Effective July 5, 2020 (Partial Service Restoration):

Yellow Line Route Y

• • Vallejo to Walnut Creek BART stops in Benicia and limited Sun Valley Mall area

Red Line Route R

• • Suisun City to El Cerrito Del Norte BART stops in Vallejo

 

Effective June 15, 2020:

• All SolanoExpress routes will require passengers to wear facial coverings.
• Fare collection on all SolanoExpress routes will resume. For reference, the SolanoExpress fares can be found below.

SolanoExpress Safety Protocols:

To keep our riders and employees healthy and safe, SolanoExpress has adopted the following safety protocols:

1	Install driver partitions, which will prevent patrons from having direct contact with the driver
2	Require drivers to wear facial coverings, effective June 15.
3	Limit seating on SolanoExpress to no more than 20 riders so that patrons are adhering to social distancing.
4	Promote cashless payment.
5	Enhanced cleaning protocols on buses and transit facilities.
