PROJECTS Fairfield-Vacaville Hannigan Station

Fairfield/Vacaville Amtrak Station, California, USA

STA partnered with Cities of Fairfield and Vacaville to deliver the Fairfield-Vacaville Intermodal Station in 2018.  This station connects residents to the Capital Corridor Amtrak line and serves as the key component to the Fairfield Train Station Specific Plan, which promotes a pedestrian-oriented, multi-modal, and mixed-use community.  In 2019, the station was re-dedicated in honor of the late former Fairfield Assemblymember Tom Hannigan, who contributed to the development of the Capitol Corridor service.

STA applied for the 2020 Transit and Intercity Rail Program (TIRCP) for Solano Regional Transit Improvements and was awarded $2M to fund the construction of an additional parking facility with 119 spaces and bicyclist and pedestrian access improvements. Construction on these project components is expected to begin in 2022.  See the Updates tab for related Project Documents. A future phase of this project will construct a depot at this station. Please check back for updates in the near future.
